The sunscreen people actually wear
The highest-return thing you can do for your skin is also the step most people skip. Usually for textural reasons.

Dermatologists are close to unanimous: daily broad-spectrum sun protection does more for the long-term appearance of skin than any serum, treatment or procedure. It is also the step abandoned most often.
The reasons are almost never about efficacy. They are about how the product feels — the white cast, the tackiness, the stinging when it migrates into your eyes on a hot afternoon. A sunscreen that is unpleasant to wear is a sunscreen that does not get worn, and therefore does nothing at all.
We built ours as a body lotion that happens to carry SPF-50, rather than a sunscreen that happens to moisturise. Zinc oxide and Benzone SPF-50 handle the UV; niacinamide works on brightness and oil control; the base is formulated to disappear rather than sit.
The best sun protection is the one still on your skin at four in the afternoon.
